WOW!
So the Amigos first graders came in for library time and I wanted to share some new books with them, books inEnglish and Chinese by Huy Voun Lee. I know how much the first graders love learning Spanish and Chinese so I thought they might be interested in the books. The WOW! moment came when I held up the book entitled 1,2,3, Go! Without any prompting, they began to count in Chinese. It gave all the adults in the library goosebumps. As we looked at each page of the book they shouted out the number in Chinese. Ms. June, their Chinese teacher, was so proud to hear about her students. Look for all the books by Huy Voun Lee in our library.
